Agility Classes

At Sandon Kennels, from Spring until late Fall, we offer Just for Fun Agility Classes. These classes are for the dogs and owners that want to do a little more than just obedience training. Just for fun Agility is for the active dog who needs and wants to work at having a good time getting controlled exercise. These classes are wonderful confidence builders for the insecure, nervous dog. They are also a great way to teach the aggressive dog to gain control and ignore other dogs while having a good time with his owner.

We teach the dogs to work at OUR speed so that seniors, children and the physically challenged can enjoy these classes too. The dogs are systematically taught on leash to use a wide variety of jumps, tunnels, planks and ramps. We start out with very simple, easy to use pieces of equipment and build from this to the more complicated obstacles.

Throughout the year we are invited to do Agility presentations at events in the community. We entertain audiences of young and old at Fairs and Festivals.

At the end of the season, we host an Agility Fun Day. Dogs and owners compete in a variety of classes for fun and prizes. This family fun day leaves everyone looking forward to the start of Agility again next Spring.
